USRF Inks Deal to Build Wireless Internet System in Casper, WY
BATON ROUGE, La.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 18, 1999--Internet Media Corporation (OTC BB: USRF) (pronounced ''you surf'') announced today that it had entered into a definitive agreement with Coffey Computers, LLC, a Casper, WY, Internet Service Provider, for the construction of Internet Media's Wireless Internet access system to serve the Casper area. The system is to be operated under a license from Internet Media, under which Internet Media is to share in system revenue. Internet Media's management expects the Casper system to be operating in approximately four weeks. The Casper system will be first system built and marketed under the ''US.RF Wireless Internet'' name -- US.RF standing for United States Radio Frequency.

The Casper US.RF Wireless Internet system will provide business customers high-speed wireless Internet access at burstable T1 equivalent speeds (1.54 Mbs) for $699 per month, about 40% below the prevailing market price in Casper for the popular T1 corporate line. The price will include all related charges.

Also, the Casper US.RF Wireless Internet system will allow high-speed wireless ISDN-line equivalent speed (124 kbs) to be offered to business and residential Internet users in Casper at $49.95 per month, over 50% below the current market price (which includes phone line and access charges) for similar access in Casper.

''We are excited that Coffey Computers recognizes the importance of our breakthrough technology that allows us to offer high-speed Internet access at breakthrough pricing,'' said Internet Media President David Loflin. ''Until now, most small business customers in the Casper area have been priced out of the market for T1 speed and capacity; we believe that these customers will be able to incorporate the cost of T1 speed into their operating budgets, and will be able to obtain access from our affiliate ISP in Casper, instead of from other hard-wire based ISPs or the local telephone company.''

USRF is currently in negotiations with several other independent ISPs as part of its plan to roll out the low-cost, high-speed US.RF Wireless Internet access service.

US.RF Wireless Internet system customers in Casper will find it easier to access popular web destinations, like Amazon.com (Nasdaq: AMZN - news), as well as Excitr (Nasdaq: XCIT - news), Lycos (Nasdaq: LOCS - news), eBay (Nasdaq: EBAY - news) and Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT - news).
