StreetBeat at Briefing.com had much good things to say about ORCL
this week, saying that it will benefit most from the E-commerce growth. Below is an excerpt and the concluding section:

------

...it is clear that the growth of the Internet is helping the database market. As real e-commerce becomes more common, the benefit to the database market will be even greater. As to which vendors will benefit, we think that Oracle (ORCL) will benefit the most. Oracle has the most scalable and reliable database. Also, given the risk averse nature of IT people, betting ecommerce on Sybase (SYBS) or Informix
(IFMX) will be less likely given their problems over the last few years...

Briefing: Which stocks are you recommending and/or avoiding?

Thomas Hensel: We recommend Oracle (ORCL) and Microsoft (MSFT) with a 1-1 rating (intermediate and long-term MARKET OUTPERFORMER).

John Puricelli: We have a STRONG BUY on Citrix Systems (CTXS) , the leading thin-client computing vendor. We also like Oracle (ORCL) and Compuware (CPWR).

Laura Lederman: In the database arena, Oracle (ORCL) is the strongest name. I no longer cover Sybase (SYBS) or Informix (IFMX). Microsoft (MSFT) is in the space, but probably cannot challenge Oracle for the
next few years (according to most of the CIO's I have spoken with).

Panelist:
-Thomas Hensel , Vice President Equity Research at EVEREN Securities
-Laura J. Lederman, Research Analyst at William Blair & Co
-John J. Puricelli, Software Analyst at AG Edwards
