Year 2000 Wire/Unisys Establishes Worldwide Marketing Agreement with Mercury Interactive for Year 2000 Enterprise Application Testing
Unisys to resell TestSuite 2000, automated testing software for key enterprise applications
BLUE BELL, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 18, 1999-- Unisys Corporation has announced a worldwide marketing agreement with Mercury Interactive Corporation, the leading provider of enterprise application testing solutions.
The business alliance will enable Unisys to resell Mercury Interactive's TestSuite 2000 tools as part of the Unisys TEAM2000 portfolio.
As customers move into the testing phases of their year 2000 projects, complex applications, client/server architectures and distributed environments fuel demand for sophisticated automated testing tools. Mercury Interactive's line of enterprise testing tools can address Unisys customers' needs by providing software for testing key enterprise applications.

Mercury Interactive supports a complete set of software tools for test management, automated regression testing, test data generation and load/performance testing. Unisys will concentrate its efforts on reselling Mercury Interactive's TestSuite 2000 family of tools, which includes:
-- TestDirector, an integrated management tool for organizing and managing the testing process to determine application readiness. TestDirector speeds the testing process by associating tests to business processes, providing a visual framework for organizing tests and prioritizing their order of importance.
-- WinRunner 2000, an enterprise functional testing tool that verifies applications will work as expected. WinRunner 2000 supports both date expansion and windowing methods of software remediation.
-- LoadRunner, a load testing tool that predicts system behavior and performance by exercising an entire enterprise infrastructure. It emulates thousands of users to isolate problems, optimize performance and accelerate deployment. In year 2000 projects, LoadRunner can test mainframe systems for any unexpected performance problems associated with their date corrections.
