Sneak preview of Novell announcement!

You'll love this folks...

I'm still in Miami. Attended a dinner function with some associates last night and spoke to a CNI (Certified Novell Instructor) who's in town on contract for a large cruise ship company.

It seems he's someone's brother-in-law over at Novell's corporate office and here's the jist of what he had to say:

Novell is releasing NetWare 5.0. Wordcruncher's search engine will be either bunddled with or embedded directly into the OS. The logistics are being settled right now.

For those of you who aren't savvy in networking platforms but do use Microsoft Windows, consider this --- the Wordcruncher search engine will now perform the same task as FIND, but infinitely better.

This CNI couldn't tell me when this announcement was being made because he wasn't involved in any way with the negotiations. In fact, he's not even supposed to know. If it wasn't for an obviously loudmouth brother-in-law, he wouldn't even have this information.

Nonetheless, I'm going to look into this a little bit further. If anyone else has the resources to help, it'd be much appreciated.

I'm sure we all understand the magnitude of such an announcement
