TULSA, Okla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb 18, 1999--

Heartsoft's Recent Support of Microsoft Windows 98(R) Helps
Accelerate Integration of Its Product Lines into U.S. School Districts
with Latest PC Hardware

Heartsoft, Inc. (OTC BB: HTSF), publisher of educational software
products for early-learning students, reported today that Frederick
County Public Schools, Va., has purchased the company's basal software
series, The Heartsoft K-8 Library, for use in all of its ten
elementary schools district wide.
"The adoption by Frederick County is important to us in that it
shows that school districts are not only adopting our new Thinkology
series, as we've recently seen when districts in Tennessee, Oklahoma,
and Louisiana purchased the product for district-wide use, but we are
also seeing substantially increased interest in our basal curriculum
series titles," according to Heartsoft CEO, Benjamin P. Shell
"The order for just under $10,000 is just one of the 11,000 U.S.
school districts Heartsoft has targeted for 1999," said Shell.
In other recent news, Heartsoft announced its plans to introduce
the first secure Internet browser for children, the Kids Internet
World Explorer(R) (KIWE). It shall be immediately available for both
Microsoft Windows(R) (NASDAQ: MSFT) and the Apple Macintosh(R) and
iMac(R) (NASDAQ: AAPL). KIWE offers parents and educators an age
appropriate alternative to Microsoft's Internet Explorer and
Netscape's (NASDAQ: NSCP) Navigator Internet browsers.
Also, earlier in the month Heartsoft announced the release of new
versions of its proprietary educational software for Microsoft Windows
98(R) (NASDAQ: MSFT) and the Apple iMac. Heartsoft's support of
Windows 98 significantly expands the company's ability to support
hardware manufacturers such as Dell Computer Corp. (NASDAQ: DELL),
Compaq Computer Corp. (NYSE: CPQ), and Gateway, Inc. (NYSE:GTW) which
represent the most widely used platforms in schools and by parents.
Heartsoft, Inc. publishes and distributes a line of multimedia
educational software products for schools and homes nationwide.
Headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Heartsoft is acknowledged among
educators as the price-vs.-performance leader, delivering such product
classics as the Heartsoft Bestsellers and its latest release,
Thinkology, with unsurpassed customer satisfaction and loyalty.
