Last month, Polaroid also announced its own public key/private key software to authenticate that a message had not been changed en route. This put Polaroid in direct competition with Verisign and Entrust.

By the way, Polaroid is using Visionics for facial recognition technology, and apparently IBM for technology in this new product.
