I do not know where the Doral Open will be held, but if you are close to Orlando:

Check Disney World, they have at least 5 courses:

Buena Vista.

Osprey Ridge.

Eagle Pine.

Magnolia.

and..... hmmm. I forgot the fifth one.

I believe that Magnolia and Eagle have been used for some of the PGA tournaments.

I have played in all five, there are some mean "water holes"

They are long courses.... and they won't let you walk. (bummer).

There may be some programs in which you pay a $50 "Membership Fee", which gives you a discount on some of the courses.... but that limits you to play the designated course(s).

As for the West Coast....

La Costa in Carlsbad, CA (north of San Diego). They held the Mercedes Classic until 1997. (I believe you have to stay at the SPA to get in, but it does not hurt to check.

Torrey Pines in La Jolla, CA (Also North of San Diego). Public Course.... but good luck trying to get in.

Whispering Palms in Rancho Santa Fe, (near La Jolla)... semiprivate club. has 27 holes.

I can't find the telephone numbers....
