Hi Scott, thanks for the response to the article. I agree, it is an interesting article. It seems that their is still some life left in Dell.

The one thing that concerns me is moving technical support for the sub $1000 pc buyers to the internet. (I realize that these buyers will still be able to call directly into Dell's tech support.) Most of these buyers are first time computer users and don't understand the technology. This means that Dell will need to make it "fool proof" for these customers to access the Web, find the Dell site, navigate to the information, find what they need, and understand what they are reading. Not an easy task.

Based on past performance, I think that Dell will pull this rabbit out of the hat and make the sub 1000 pc market a success.
