It's Official- Nikon will Not Use Iomega Flop!

The FAQ at Nikon's website:

nikonusa.com
Disk drive-based cameras do not pass Nikon reliability standards for field operation in hostile environments.

This seemingly kills any chance at all of Nikon ever using Flop! Also, IBM's TinyDrive is out. Flop!'s disk-drive based design seems to be scaring off potential OEM's. And I don't blame them. Who wants to pay for costly warranty repairs for the whole camera when just the disk drive craps out?

Safe, reliable, efficient CompactFlash is for Nikon. It's for me too.
