Thanks, Hugh. I appreciate the correction. I hope that non-techie mistake didn't obscure the point, tho, that the change in the signature of the signal has to be designed-in to the other parts of the disk drive AND that the 'wheel' didn't necessarily have to be reinvented (read: major engineering changes) to account for the different 'signature' of the keepered signal, just modified.

BTW, have you found out anything more about that Gooch patent we were talking about?
