Hi again Jeff.
1) How accurate are the simulated fills? In other words, can I expect similar performance when I go live?
Well the simulator should be pretty accurate. You can expect on screen confirmations in 1 - 4 seconds in normal market conditions. The key to this is of course routing, and it is imperative you spend the time to get accustomed with order entry. Most people get frustrated by rejected orders and 9 times out of 10 it is a simple mistake such as trying to SOES an ECN or something similar.

2) Does the simulator have limits in terms of the amount of cash it recognizes? If I have a profitable simulated day will that be recognized and carried forward?
No, sorry. The demo just gets a standard 100k buying power each day

3) I had problems until late in the day with the system recognizing I hd virtual cash. Is there a preferred procedure at startup that I may not be following?
Not really. It was probably just an over site on our part, we have to give all the demo's the buying power in the morning and could have missed you.
