Some here have deduced that SR's signal output defies conventional [D]WDM. In other words, the spectral width of the transmitted signal exceeds the form spectrum factors that have been established for conventional WDMs, or so the argument goes [went?].

I never verified this, nor do I see specific references to such from what I've read in their Winton Marsalis. You say that they may actually enhance the WDM model. Will their line width be accommodated by the 50GHz and 100GHz slots now being utilized in optical muxes/ADMs? Please give me your view on this. Finally, how many GLOCs/sec do you envision passing over the threshold here?
