But what about the 50 million installed NOVL-users base? Might that have some positives to it? No. Similar-sized installed bases were lost, in their time, by Apple, CP/M, Lotus, WordPerfect, WordStar and many others. Are those 50 million users locked in to Netware? No. How expensive would it be to switch? Not too expensive, in fact, switching would be the path of less resistance. Another plus might be all the alliances that NOVL has built for NDS NDS is the jewel of the crown here. The question you should ask yourself is if NDS is worth a $6 billion market cap.
