Mary, <most microprocessors are designed only within a few
miles of where you live.>
Wildly wrong statement. Microprocessors are designed
not only in places you think, but every CS student
usually designs one during his education! The difference
between cars and chips is that cars cannot be so
easily multiplied and reprinted with steppers as
chips. Those who fooled the world with x86 and
managed to have more printing machines rule the
world now. It does not make x86 a Mona Lisa of
microprocessors. "Intel architecture" is rather
a Krueger, or Taxi-Man (or whatever ugly face
you pick) in the computing world.

Regards,
- Ali
