>>Any news to account for the drop today? We seem to have stopped the selling right on support (145-146), so I don't know if we were just filling the gap or what the story is. Odd for MSFT to buck the trend so strongly to the down <<

Paul and All Does anyone really have no idea why Microsoft stock has been going down?? You should know and you should be G--D--- outraged by the fact that the Government is trying to break the company up without regard of irreparable harm that may cause. This is the view that I keep hearing from almost everyone I talk to. The assault is one of bias, abuse of power and maliciousness by any way I see it and the shareholders are becoming the slaughtered victims. I think it now time for all shareholders to show some concern and begin expressing their outrage. Just think of it, if the government wins its case against Microsoft, there is no company you can own that makes a profit that is not vulnerable to antitrust action.

Microsoft is not an ATT that can just easily be broken up. Our US economy would suffer massive chaos and be hurt at tremendous expense if the government takes any action to damage this company. I am just saying this once and I am not going to come back here defending it but all I can say is, enough is enough. The anti trust case is without merit. The government appears by all views as though it went in partnership with Microsoft's competitors to bring the company down. Who is really trying to be the Monopoly here?? There is a tremendous measure of arrogance, prejudice and abuse of power being exercised at our taxpayers expense. This trial should have been dismissed long ago. Yes if this keeps up we will soon see Microsoft trading under 100 and lower which is just ridiculous. To sabotage this company is disgraceful, intolerable and despicable. I think if you have time to think about this you would be livid and you should write to your representatives and, the Associated Press or anyone you know in the media. Maybe we should even write to the Chief Judge presiding over this case and express our views. Yes give your feelings and concerns. I hope that our Justice leadership will consider the consequences of all before imposing its verdict. What else can we do?? I leave you to your conscious.

Frank
