In the event of a takeover, it would have to be incredibly friendly - Steve Jobs owns a majority of the stock, so nothing happens without his permission. Disney currently owns 5% of the stock, and I believe they have the right to buy up to 10% more (I'm doing this from memory, please correct if wrong).

Bottom line: No one buys Pixar without Jobs' agreement. Also, the only way it works is if the employees are content with the deal or an acquirer would be buying a huge headache.
