***MEDY***This stock play ("pick") promoted and hyped on this thread January 30 was the last straw as far as my relative silence on this thread is concerned.
It was apparant to me soon after first visiting this thread that an elaborate pyramid hustle was, at times, being perpetrated by the creator of the thread. However, in my line of work, I come into contact with hustlers every day, so I just ignore them and stay on my side of the road. I leave them to their "Marks" and mind my own business.
However, sometimes it's impossible not to react to the hurt these people can inflict on the trusting.
Confidence men use a shill. It's a time honored tool. The shill on this thread is James Colter, one in the same as the thread creator. (I found him amusing until the MEDY thing. I even tweaked him/them at his last appearance on the thread). Read his posts. He is most of the time a "oh, golly...gee whiz...you are wonderful...whatever you pick, I'm in"...illiterate and inarticulate novice investor showing up to strategically offer bashful thanks to this thread's creator for his stock picks and mention that "a broker friend" just happened to confirm his latest inside information. However, since confidence men and liars can't keep their ruses consistent, he sometimes becomes the angry, savy technical investor elaborately lecturing on investing (#3495 on "The Picks", #36 on ADVR) and, in indignant fashion, defending this thread's creator against attack. He even writes, formats and uses same expressions as this thread's creator when in his defender persona. They are one in the same. Read his posts and notice the timing.
In addition, if you check the ADVR thread, I'll think you'll discover that this thread's creator is might also be a certain..s.martin..S. Martin is this thread's shill on the ADVR thread. S. Martin also writes like this thread's creator and uses same favorite expression, which is "What are you smoking?" (#1993 s. martin post on ADVR to be contrasted with post #2922 on this thread). I find it ironic that it was the aforementioned James Colter who called attention to "himself" in the other persona on the ADVR thread.
I know that there has at time been speculation on this thread concerning the "identity" thing, but people are getting burned and the damn truth is: an honest person does not need a shill. Shills are used to persuade the unaware to make an unwise or against self-interest decision. In this case, to run up stock prices at which the confidence man has firmly entrenched himself at the base of the pyramid with his finger on the sell trigger soon as the dog stock runs up. Do you REALLY think he still owns USBL?
I shall now go back to minding my own business. Those of you who have got in on the ground floor of the pyramids, well congratulations. Those of you who didn't exit in time and are suffering, I truly wish I could say something to ease your concern and dismay. But I can't. I wish I could.
As for the "true believers", I am by no means belittling you or attempting to be a sour, malcontented prophet of doom trying to rain on everyones parade. Maybe you've done well and the process is of no concern to you. Salute! For those who are concerned about the process, check it out. Not only research the stocks but know your "advisor". Read "James Colter's" and "s. martin" posts, observe the format and contents, timing and compare with the posts of this thread's creator. If I am wrong then I will humbly retract my assertions. I have no intentions of being a false accuser. I couldn't live in good conscious carrying such a burden. But if I'm right...well, so be it.
And to the creator of this thread...aka s. martin, James Colter, et al, I know what you're about and what you're doing. Go ahead. Defend yourself. No one defends him or herself against the truth with more creative, self-righteous, pius indignation than the hustler. |
