No way. The banks are very closely controlled in Canada. A couple of big proposed mergers were recently thrown out by the Government. While I'm not taking a political stance one way or the other, we've seen in other countries how out-of-control banks can threaten the entire economy. Maybe there's too much regulation, but we're not hearing a big outcry from Canadians that they want it changed (except the banks of course).
