The "average user" does not buy the network [...] How can you keep track of all 5,000 PCs and 500 new ones this year with the same staff and not much extra budget? Don't be mistaken. The average user does not buy the computers either, they just appear in their desk. By the average user I meant the average member of the IT department in charge of purchasing decisions. Also Macs have much lower CoM (cost of maintenance) than PCs. It didn't matter. They are now a niche player. Microsoft has sales of $16 billion a year. How big do you estimate the NDS market to be?
