I looked at this yesterday. WDC divested (gave) KMAG it's media line in exchange for common stock which could prove worthless if KMAG fails to execute. This is a good long term strategy for both KMAG and WDC, IMO. I expect KMAG to execute, and cost saving to result.

WDC does not represent a substantial amount of HMTT sales. If anything, this divesture could represent a step towards using more HMTT product. But I expect WDC to maintain a relationship with KMAG unless they fail to execut.
