Ron,

Not to mention a current account deficit that may collapse the economy.
It is surprising how many analysts are now positive on the Canadian buck when we are basically priced right out of the global market place. The only way we can compete is with a lower dollar and government subsidies.Meanwhile, our politicians are patting themselves on the back as to what a great job they are doing.Really pathetic.
The USA is about to enter into the same boat as Canada as they raise their barriers against imports. The USA is quickly getting priced right out of the market place too.As the stock market rallies get thinner and more hollow, fewer and fewer companies will make the grade. The good thing is,it seems the US will fall slower than the rest of the G-7.Bonds look like a good bet off of this correction.
A local cell company just dropped their rates 33%.The vehicle wars are just heating up as the Asians, for the first time I can remember, come in below the North American producers.Price wise that is.I think everything will become a commodity, which as you know, often trade well below the cost of production for extended periods of time.
