Walter, My morning QB on Barricks move does not bode well for ARP and looks like it takes their name out of the hat for Medinah. Just my opinion. The reason is that they have committed to over $500 million in a stock purchase and it will take six months for all the dust to settle on their accounting. Look at Homestake with there acquisitions last year. So what other majors would have an interest and capabilities of acquiring a rather large "gold/Copper" porphyry. Medinah's problem (again my opinion) is that they are in the early early stages of proving up their properties...Time is ticking, not only mother nature ( my guess is they have about 8 or 9 weeks left to prove up the LiPangue and/or Las Dos Marias, and/or any other "interesting" properties. Since it appears that most majors in this gold environment rather enjoy piranah fishing, they being the piranahs, juniors being the minows... Whats disturbing about all of it, again in my opinion is that in order to squeeze the hell out of the shorts, (which Dec 17th data says we weren't close) it will take a few dominoes to be in place. The sands of the hour glass are ticking against Medinah ..in that there positive dominoes need to come to fuition, and the negative ones need to be resolved. Those positives, are : The Russians deal, its been awhile since this has been mentioned, Hmmmmmmmm If silence is good & a deal has already been done just not announced!. If so then has any shares been repurchased..well again, hard to uncloak, but the share count today is still 56,300,334 ...if silence is bad then the Russians went for the vodka instead. We were told the placers would begin production in January. Yes, a deal or negotiations might have postponed things, but there has been plenty of opportunities to succeed in this venture, maybe I'm just being an optimist. The Andacollo properties (undisputed) obviously have not been resolved or at least there has not been a news release recently to the fact and with Barrick looking farther East, thats one less major with a checkbook in hand and looking slim. The other is of course the Dayton lawsuit, which hopefully after being told a decision was due any minute, any second... only to learn that they take off the whole month of February, so hopefully a decision will be made in March. It is interesting that Dayton will have a meeting and hired an advisor pertaining to among other things their debentures also in March...I would have to vote the scales are tipping 51% MDIN 49% DAY. The Caten ore has been stockpiled now for it seems about six months...lol!!!! so it seems, why hasn't this ore made its way to anyone of the available smelters in order to pay for things such as drilling, or IP's, lease payments, or share buybacks. All we have seen recently is 6 million new shares in the last three weeks. Again more dilition and more loss of creditability. I was told I would have a share breakdown after the AGM, well when was that about 3 months ago. We were also told or led to believe that audited financials were extremely close as well as becoming a reporting company ( Has anyone seen a major do business with a non reporting company, not to say doing business with a reporting company is any better but just seems it will take longer to verify the contracts, etc, etc ). Again, just the absence of creditability that seems to crush the company and keep it from busting its BB status. Days like today make it apparent that "shakeouts" will occur for no justifiable reason especially after yesterday's news. I believe most day trades are simple just MM's playing games against each other. 95% of the shareholders have placed their bets and are waiting for the wheel to stop, and nothing will shake them lose. With yesterday's news (again IMO) the stock should have busted thru 50 cents, any dips would be met with large volume of buying. But it seems that large buying is being taken very well care of...Hmmmmmm the price you pay folks to play with the big boyz...lol!!! Oh well, should get interesting but IMO it looks like the window only has a few more weeks...Keep your fingers crossed and hope the Boyz have some rabbit foots in their pockets to get all these dominoes in order...
