Originally, my attitude was similar to yours. However, I am a business man and I do understand and agree with their Business Plan: it is simple and effective. As I understood it, Yucatan Holdings are a bunch of savvy investors who have seized a good opportunity and have been fortunate to secure the services of a CEO of the caliber of J. Bennett. Regarding comparative valuations based on "unique users", I have done my bit and leave that to other contributors, perhaps yourself to do.
They have looked into the possibility of hooking to the Inktomi search engine, but think that their game plan will be over before they really need it and that the advantages would only be marginal at this point in time. By the way, the script that you said was freely available, has in fact been written specially for them, but I am no expert in that field.
