Chas, The only problem would be with high particulate contamination, this can generally be be cleaned off(at some levels no way). As for the wafers oxidizing, in the early stages of production that is a concern but approximately 60% of the way thru the process it is no longer a concern. So the delay in shipping product is not correct, wafers scrapped early in the process are not that big of a problem since most production lines can make up for loss pretty fast.
