Darrel, Rick, LB,...

Interesting news today:

biz.yahoo.com

Soon after 2 pm this came out, and with a rapid spike in volume the price shot up, hitting 3 before giving way again. The volume slowed quite a bit soon after, so it will be interesting to see if it settles back to the 2 5/8 floor again or holds a bit higher.

It continues to look like ATIS is further along and more serious than many may have thought not too long ago in the cardiovascular arena, and I wonder exactly how close they might be to finalizing a strategic alliance here. The title of the article focused on the living vascular grafts, but the second big area of discussion was about a "human fibroblast-based tissue-engineered product's ability to secrete vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) and other growth factors, which have been shown to induce angiogenesis and endothelialization." This may have implications toward the efficacy of the grafts, as well as toward other areas(ie gene therapy mechanism of production..). I'd be interested in hearing more about what is meant by the word "product" in that quoted sentence.

Anyway, tired and fried. Would be nice to see some discussion get started over here again. It's been a while.

TGIF.

Regards,

Marshall
