CSC Wins USAF Office of Special Investigation Contract to Develop Investigative Information Management System
EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Feb. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE:CSC) has been awarded a contract to develop an Investigative Information Management System (I2MS) for the U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI) at Andrews AFB, Md. The contract is being awarded as a GSA procurement and is valued at approximately $2 million during the first phase of a multi-phased effort.
CSC will design, develop and implement the I2MS system, which will be used to collect, maintain and report investigative data required by federal regulations. The I2MS replaces an existing legacy system and will support the AFOSI's investigative management and process- oriented database system.
Contract work will be performed by CSC's Defense Group and involve approximately 16 software engineers, developers and analysts during the early phases of system development.
CSC already supports the AFOSI under five separate task orders awarded last year. Under these contracts, CSC provides administrative and technical support required to establish and operate the Defense Computer Investigations Training Program.
The AFOSI mission is to provide criminal investigative and counterintelligence services. The organization seeks to identify, investigate and neutralize espionage, terrorism, fraud and other major criminal activities that may threaten Air Force and Department of Defense resources. AFOSI provides professional investigative service to commanders of all Air Force activities.
