Albert, If memory serves me right, I remember reading that a Klamath
for laptop will be ready before the end of this year, I believe
3Q or 4Q the latest. Originally, it wasn't going to be ready until
early 98. I remeber reading this in one of the trade mags. on-line
about 2 weeks ago. Sorry, dont know the exact reference but i'll
try and find out. Upgrade problems? what do you mean? with hardware or software? From what i'm seeing, when giving the choice, network managers are choosing an NT/PPRO platform over UNIX, & there are many reasons i can give you for this. $200 unrealistic? You just admitted Intel basically has the workstation/server mkt. wrapped up (X86 anyway). and K6, even if very successful, cannot produce the volumes
to gain the big accounts to hurt Intel at the high-end desktop. $200 a shoe-in if you ask me, and i'm giving AMD the benefit of the doubt.
