Wooooo - glad I elected Candidate B - C didn't sound like much fun and I didn't like the sounds of A's ward heelers and astrologists ... and wouldn't you know it - that one was a Democrat ... albeit the Democrat for whom Winnie was quoted as having considerable respect and affection. How about a drunken real-estate-dealing lawyer who had at least one campaign financed by huge contributions from guys seeking railroad concessions from his government, who hanged a so-called 'rebel' on flimsy trumped-up evidence, and who proved quite ineffectual in forestalling a morass of intergovernmental federal/provincial squabbling which continues to this day right from the start of a new country? .......... Sir John Alexander MacDonald, the first prime minister of this place i hang out ..... and you know, we could have done a whole hell of a lot worse, and have since.
