Hi Sherry,

A little late, but I hope this helps...

Install the same version of ICQ on your laptop, and start the program.

It will ask you if you want to create a new account, or use a current one. Choose the second option, and input your old ICQ number and password. It will come up with a blank list, but that's ok for now.

Shut down ICQ completely, and transfer the entire C:\Program Files\ICQ directory and all of it's subdirectories into your laptop, overwriting the newer install (hence copying over your old settings, including your user list).

There's most likely just a few files that you need to copy over, but I have yet to isolate them.

Like Mr.Mark said, ICQ's FAQ section on their home page might know more about this.
