Bill,
I wondered about the delay myself. However, with the FDA involved I'm reminded of the company that tried to get a special pad(I think made of rubber) that women used to check for lumps in their breast. The pad was extra sensitive to the smallest of lumps, but the FDA kept delaying the approval. Maybe you remember the story in more detail.

The newspaper article was very glowing as to the results achieved with this laser and the fact it was used by several well known groups in the trials. They indicated that approval was "expected" later this year.
