You're probably right. I still think their current management is missing the big picture, and lashing themselves to a waterlogged, if not yet sinking, Windows ship. I guess they've been successful so far, and don't see a need to change. Well, its their loss IMO.

I don't think they are missing anything. One thing MS has shown is they can play catch-up very quickly. If/when the time comes that there is a lot of money to be made in the Java or Linux marketplace, MS will dive in with a vengence. In the meantime, I think they are happy with what they have going.
