From Briefing.Com: This helps explain weakness in OS today: 09:04 ET Weatherford International (WFT) 18 1/8: DLJ lowers estimates following oilfield drilling services company's report of disappointing Q4 results. Firm cuts FY99 view from $1.15 to $0.55 (-52%) and FY00 from $1.90 to $1.20 (-37%). Says company experiencing drop in drilling product volumes and weak pricing for North American completions. That's a really big drop in a forecast..Sold my RIG holdings yesterday, and have been out of FLC for the last week. If it wasn't for some good gains on the IPOs that I've flipped early...my portfolio would belong in the dumper this year. Been a little too tempted to bottom fish the drillers, but as we know, "Bottom feeders are under great pressure" ! <g>
