I believe IGT is a game manufacturer, not a casino operator. apparently there is some concern about these companies and possible legislation, ie, from Briefing.com "18-Feb-99 11:00 -- 12:00 ET Anchor Gaming (SLOT)38 -4: Ladenburg Thalmann downgrades gaming company from "buy" to long-term "buy" as climate for gaming companies increases; it was reported yesterday by the Las Vegas Review Journal that casino executives may introduce state legislation affecting gaming participation games; this stems from frustration by resort operators against International Gaming Technology's current business practices to extract large profits from the casino industry; valuation remains attractive, however....." MIR was made a DLJ "top pick" on 2/10.
