SHRP - case in point - take a look at page W6 in today's Wall St. Journal RE: Travel Alarm Clocks Survey.

Sharper Image was most expensive entry of five listed -- LL Bean, Autosport, Orvis, Brookstone -- and the most gimicky (i.e., clock, smoke detector, motion detector and flashlight). No wonder no one buys this item. It is overloaded with too many gadgets. L.L. Bean the winner at $29.50! Keep it simple Dicky, read Theoreau. Or, on second thought, maybe SHRP should add a nose-hair clipper and a rope-escape ladder to this item.
