Yeah, I understand, Bill. When I said "website" it was unclear -- their Fox software grabs info from their web servers, but without all the graphics. When you are disconnected via Fox, you are actually being disconnected from their web servers. My fault for not being more clear.

I've been using Fox for about the same length of time (since Feb 97), and have gone thru the same process as you describe. One thing that I've noticed is that they have a "criticality detector" that is very efficient. This detector is similar to the one on the office copy machine that will jam the paper when you are in a hurry. The Fox detector kicks you offline when the trade you need to make must be completed in seconds.

Now that I've opened another broker account, I trade much less often with Fido than I used to, and am consequently much happier with them. They are just fine for 2-3 trades a week on slow moving issues. The main reason I'm still with them at all is the free real time quotes.
