Re: CD-R sales

Everyone please note that the unit figures quoted by someone here are for disks, not drives.

Since CD-R is a write-once format, naturally the disk sales are higher than for re-writable media such as Zip. There are still fewer CD-R drives in the world than there are Zip drives.

This is not to say that CD-R drive sales are not increasing, because of course they are. They do have a ways to go until they surpass Zip drive sales, though.
