NBTY, Thread Mining: This was recommended to me as a short term ( couple of months). It ticked up today. I picked some up at 6. "NBTY manufactures and markets over 900 nutritional supplements, including vitamins, minerals, amino acids and herbs, sold through NBTY's Vitamin World stores, NBTY mail order and retailers & wholesalers throughout the U.S. & U.K. For the FY ended 9/98, net sales rose 61% to $572.1M. Net income rose 33% to $38.8M. Revenues reflect acquisitions, higher same-store sales and a greater store count. Earnings lagged from increased S/G/A & debt related to acquisitions. " Sales growing at 61.01% in the past 1 year 31.72% per year over the past 3 The company missed earnings last quarter posting only $.05 against $.12 the quarter one year ago but is opening new stores which may have something to do with it. Profit margins have increased and with the increase in Sales next quarter earnings may surprise Wall Street. I don't know if their website will fly, they own a slew of names.
