Drypers Corporation (NASDAQ:DYPR - news) jumped $0.69, or 27.50%, to $3.19 on positive fourth quarter earnings. Net sales increased 19% to $87.9 million, while per-share earnings registered at $0.06, in line with management's expectations and analysts' average estimate. Earnings news came as Drypers announced Wal-Mart will expand distribution of Drypers products to three new international markets: Canada, Germany, and China. 'I think the earnings came in line with what was expected , perhaps a touch better, but I think the more interesting news is the increased penetration with Wal-Mart, where they haven't had a big presence previously,' says D.A. Davidson & Co. analyst John Rogers. 'It appears to be paving way for a broader roll-out in the next couple years.'
