>>It is you who is mistaken. The model replacement time-frame in the Digicam realm is appalling. Obsolscence is measured in months. Indeed, the models in question are their newest, but their 2+ Megapixel replacements have been/are being unveiled at PMA.
The retailers are blowing out their old inventory to make room for all of the 2+ Megapixel cameras that will occupy the same price points. The respective manufacturers are discontinuing the older DC260, 400Z, and e1680.
(Agfa's just announced CL-50 is replacing the e1680. The CL-50 carries the same 1.3 Mpixel rating at a lower price than the e1680)<<

I get it. You respond only when you still think you are correct, not when you've been conclusively proven wrong.
Sadly, this time you've walked into a trap. Ironically, it's one of your own devising.
You claim that the Olympus, Kodak and Agfa camera/Clik! bundles are being offered because "retailers are blowing out their old inventory." Let's ignore the question of how you know this for a moment and follow your logic.
As I pointed out, PC Connection sells the Olympus and Kodak cameras alone for $200 less than the bundle price. This means that they are discounting the bundle by a whopping fifty dollars, since the Clik! drive by itself is $250.
So, if they are doing this in order to "clear out their old inventory," as you say, they must believe that there's a lot of demand for Clik! They must think it will only take a small discount to compel buyers to spend a thousand or more bucks for the bundle.
Thus, if we are to take what you say as the truth, the retailers think Clik! is a hot product.
Now if you were being honest with yourself, not to mention us, you'd admit that you have no special knowledge of what is motivating PC Connection to offer these bundles. Yet you make statements about their motives as if you are an authority. That's called pontificating.
There's also the fact, which you have still failed to acknowledge, that Agfa's Clik! bundle is being sponsored by Agfa, not the retailer.
