No where does it say it within Terms of Use you can not post a url and SI Admin. Bob has just told me it does'nt but has requested the verbiage to be added....to which I responded it is unethical and illegal to prohibit posting URL until it is stated in Terms of Use.
Also as far as spamming goes , the following is found in terms of use,,,,* Posting improper or off-topic messages or posting more than twenty messages in six hours. T A P should be able to post a single news release up to 20 times a long as its within 6 hour time frame and within the topic of folder. I was always told to question authority and think these 2 issues bring up questions that need answering. My partners account was suspended without warning 2 days ago for what SI claimed was spamming and the news release posted was only posted 10 times on general topic threads so they were not off topic or improper....they did add that us having our url included in post had some bearing on their decision! If terms of use stated no url then it would not of been included....for SI to suspend my partners account without warning on these grounds seems unfair considering how SI Terms of Use is worded or not worded as the case may be.Also the timing quite convienient considering the requests
T A P and other posters have made to have certain posters suspended or at least constrained from clearly violating Paragraph B in Terms of Use.

You agree not to use the service for illegal purposes or for the transmission of material that is unlawful, harassing, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, abusive, threatening, harmful, vulgar, obscene, tortious, improper or otherwise objectionable, or that infringes or may infringe the intellectual property or other rights of another.
Believe it our not SI Admin. Bob told me he reviewed the posts in question and found them not in violation! What is the opinion of our fellow SI posters on this....go read posts # 100, 213, 238, 240, 267, 291 to name a few on SOWK thread and then email SI and T A P with your views! |
