Dennis, MRK has a lower P/E (than other pharmaceuticals) for a reason. Many of its drugs would be off patent in the coming 2-3 years (do a search on MRK in this thread or read the MRK thread). The labpuppy.com site also has a section on patent expiry dates of various drugs. MRK will probably go up some more from now to June because of Vioxx, it's Cox-2 inhibitor competing against MTC/PFE's Celebrex. As a 2-year hold I'm not so certain.

LLY has good momentum now, new diabetes drug coming. PFE has a relative high P/E but is a good buy on dips (I'm biased here); read Mr. Peabody's reports at the PFE thread and look for one of the PFE valleys to buy.
