I agree that management gets allot. But the employees get a bunch also. I think my wife was getting 2000 shares at every review. I sure not every MSFT employee gets that, but if you multiply that by the number of employees, I would think that at least half of the buy back would be for employees. My wife made a killing cashing in here MSFT options. But like you said, it was not in a bear market....

Are you expecting a bear market soon ?? It is hard for people like me to believe when a bear market is coming until it gets here, because most bears think it's always just around the corner. It's just like they said the other day on CNBC, that most MM's have been calling for single digit percentage increases on the S&P for the last (3) years. (It's been doubling their estimates). But the way I am looking at it is with the profits I am making during the bull market, it would take a complete crash (meltdown) to even come close to getting into my profits that I've made.

I personally am expecting a major correction in the second half of the year because of Y2K fears. I will cut my exposure to stocks later this year for sure.
