I agree disks costs need to come down and I believe they will when IOM feels they need to, but I think a straight drop to $2 is a bit drastic, it needs to be done in stair step fashion, maybe starting with those dreaded coupons. Fuji is already selling packs that average down to I think $8 and change, so prices are coming down slowly. I think if the prices were to drop in price quickly and drastically it would tell me disks sells have slowed and wall street would probably see it that way too. If that happened I'd probably have to sell all my shares.

BTW, have you seen the prices of Superfloppy media ? It ain't cheap ;-)

Maybe IOM should behave like an Internet company.
Drop the price of Zip disks to $2 and go all out for market share
