Yes, I've been trading a little over a week. I was using the windows software (not the website). I had real trouble connecting this AM, but that may have been network problems. My only quibbles so far are that they have a 40% maintenance requirement for stocks between $5 and $14, but this was never communicated to me, so I got a house call. The other nuisance is that no-one told me that there is very little point in opening a minimum $5K account, since the minimum to keep an account marginable is also $5K! So in theory, you make a trade, you are now at $4980 (or whatever) and now can't trade on margin??? The guy on the phone said that they wouldn't be that unreasonable, but I'd rather not have to rely on someone being reasonable. That said, everything has been okay so far... Trades have been okay, except that today, I couldn't sell a position with the auto-execute mode (where it selectnets/islands). Really strange, since there was enough depth there. When I went the $7.75 route, the order filled in seconds. |
