Now the problem with dalmations is that they are lovely dogs, but they have hearing problems. So:

THERE IS NO SUCH THIN AS OVERSOLD!!!

This is a fiction created by chartists (who will of course swear that I am quite mad -- undoubtedly true, but beside the point). There is no decent statistical underpinning for TA, so don't put your faith in it. Invest in the company at levels you feel comfortable with. Ignore your impulses to trade. Hold it until you start to feel discomfort (either due to a too rapid runup in price, or an erosion of the fundamentals).

Frankly (no pun intended), Dell's price is a bit higher than I anticipated about two months ago. The price may be a bit high, but not grossly so. All of the Februaruy covered calls I wrote have expired worthless, and I expect that the March call (105s and 115s) will like do so also. This is my tactic when I see unreasonable prices. I feed the momo guys' habits. I am the drug dealer! I did the same thing with AOL when it was 177 a few weeks ago and wrote February 175s for a nice premium which I have now pocketed and I get to keep my shares.

This is a nice, conservative investing model in companies with bright futures.
