A blow indeed, for Troymin esp. - I guess we might have seen this coming with the shaping of the TYR/Monopros news releases over the last months as they did their reconn. work (I posted a NR recap earlier: Message 7500583 ).
I'm with RayTR-- let's see what comes from other players (e.g., the Alberta diamond veteran, Marum)! *Remember we have already seen some remarkable discoveries in a short while from Ashton in this region of Alberta. While Ashton reports diamond deposits as 'probably' uneconomic, thus far (time will tell), their finds are unprecedented. The diamond fields are there. This bodes well for the region, regardless.
Overburden remains an obstacle... Theory-wise, we can look to the PRA Axis to be a defining fault structure, with some sort of tie in from stress release faults routing out from it at 90 degrees, "accentuated by the local 'grain' in the Precambrian basement." Read this informative post for more information to this theory: Message 7203615 ------------- ------------- Looks like it's the prospective Pogo play in Alaska now for Troymin, in the nearer term. One thing, TYR has kept many of their permits in good standing through this short exploration term by Monopros. In the event more discoveries are made in the region, at least TYR remains in position.
Cheers, -j :> PS, Thomas Boychuk, hope you're getting well fast after your operation! |
