Here is my view on the last two days "activity"-
With 85 percent or more of the stock in the hands of institutions or
hard core followers, the short sellers must have really gotten
nervous when SEPR went up the last two weeks while the former market darlings like MSFT, Dell and CSCO tumbled sharply. When word got out yesterday about CNBC's favorable comments and
that the CEO was going to be on the show this morning, some of the 3 million shares sold short had to be covered yesterday at any cost.
Hence, the huge volume and price rise. The shorts must have feared an announcement of another licensing deal or some other favorable news. When the CEO actually had nothing new to reveal on CNBC this morning, the market reacted negatively. Perhaps Fidelity decided to dump some shares at the open in order to force out the weak holders and give themselves another chance to increase their stake. By the way, did we finish up a point for the week? I would be taking this a lot more seriously if I had not started buying this stock at 6 dollars per share in 1995. Frankly, this
action increases my belief that the stock will really soar once we get a little bit closer to generating net earnings. SEPR is definitely on the Wall Street radar screen now. I am sure there will be more fireworks.
