I usually don't trade the GAX either it just jumped out the last two days as I run all sector indexes daily to get a feel for the market. Just curious as to if there are big mergers, hype etc. No big deal.

I used to be a buy and holder only getting out occasionally for the bigger drops but lately I don't even touch stocks anymore and trade strictly options staying anywhere from minutes on OEX index options to months on some equity plays with far out strikes. It all depends on my current view of the market, my view of the position etc. If I can get five points I am usually happy short term. Intraday index option plays I am just looking for a couple points scalping style. The OEX play I was trrying today would have been in at 7 1/4 and I would have been ready to exit anywhere over 8 1/2 althugh the 12 would have been OK too <ggg>

Best of luck, I have to go to my other job now.
