heh thats funny because thats exactly what I had in mind when I started trading full time... Wether I made money or lost it, didnt matter, the feeling was still the same.. shaking hands, sweat, tired but couldnt sleep... im now just doing long term positions and thats it... it was killing me very quickly rather than my 9-5 which just kills me slowly..
I was telling glenn the other day that im a nobody myself, not even rich, but I have a huge family with cousins on top of cousins from here to Italy.. Ny, Ca.. thats my only strong point but boy does it come in handy.. When I see a big mouth like Anythony or mama bear, or viper chic etc etc I have a little fun and like to find out who is on the other end of the keyboard just like they do to me.. Usually the ones with the biggest mouths are so irrelevant, housewives, single drifters, etc etc..
I will say that as much as I am annoyed by Anthony tho, he DOES shut everyone up.. Hes real good at what he does and has the money to back it up..although he wasnt born poor, and yes he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth thats another subject.. I just hate seeing things like 'security presence will be HUGE so be prepared for metal detectors..' Really gives me alot of ideas just to be equally egotistical but nah.. not smart to even joke about that since l a w y e r is one phone call away... Thats another thing s/i taught me, is when people say they have guns or they are power lifters etc etc, they are the first ones to contact a lawyer when confronted.. The only difference between folks with money and contacts, and folks with no money and contacts is, we poor folks have contacts that will die in order to serve their families and dont ask for a retainer to take care of matters :)
The only person on s/i who I can honestly say went from nothing to something is Tokyo Joe.. but he has to sleep with his conscience at night knowing how he made that money...
people like myself, we come and go.. there isnt much of a place on wallstreet for working class heroes to make 200% returns in a year regardless of what the books tell us.. If you can do 20-30% you have beaten the system.. If your doing more? your either rich with contacts , stock incentives for putting the 'word' out, or pumping/dumping and sporting a dead soul :)
