I understand your difference with saying that DELL lost market share. You are narrowly defining DELL's market to be the corporate sector. That's OK if you want to define things that way.

Consider the sales of all boxes for a minute.

DELL still has the larger problem that the proportion of the total number of units sold which are low end is rising quickly -- if you lump all the box sales together. At the same time the total revenues for the biz are seeing a quickly slowing rate of growth. This is a fact; it is not seasonal -- simply an observation that can be made by combing the drop in average ASPs and the overall growth in units for the last year.

DELL must pursue low end to keep growing revenues, whatever season you are talking about. Otherwise revenue growth shrinks even faster. Margins are going to shrink for the whole biz whatever DELL does.
